Good evening Bacon Band Alumni!
Here is a quick overview of things we need from you and what to expect this year.  

The first is . . . please spread the word.  We will not be publishing most of this information on any social media platforms (or very minimally) so we need your help to direct alumni to this website and submit their information on the contact form.  The website content, as it relates to most of the events, is coming directly from TK.  Details may change so it's important that everyone have one place to reference, and this is it!  We will always send updates via email.

The second is . . . social media posts.  #1 TK REALLY wants to make sure the current band kids have a “normal” year.  Some of them are having a difficult time with his announcement.  There are some yuks in the works that are going to be a surprise for them this year and we need your help to keep it quiet.  #2 Some of the yuks will be a surprise for TK and even though he is not on most social media, his students are, and word will get back to him.  So, we are begging everyone to make this year special for everyone involved by doing your best not to post any “secrets” on social media.  You can share anything else, just not the “secrets.” (If you are Band Alumni AND a Current Band Member Parent, we know this will be extra hard for you, but we thank you in advance for not telling your kids).

Question: “How will I know what I can and cannot post?”  
Answer: We will alert you in the email, and, that email will not be accessible on the homepage like all the others.

Now the fun stuff:
• Access code to download your music:  This will be emailed out no later than September 15, 2023.  (You may share this code with other alumni, however, if they are not on the email list, they will miss other details so continue to encourage them to sign up.)
• The Halloween Concert:  There is a plan.  It is partially top secret.  That information is being released early next week so stay tuned. There is one tune for alumni to play. 
• The Parade in May:  Also a plan that is partially top secret.  That information will be released after the Halloween concert.
• Jazz Night:  No secrets.  We are still waiting for details from TK.  We expect this to be a sight-reading with solos for jazzers deal (no concert band).  This means, if you were a jazzer and currently perform, and if you can sight-read at the concert including improvised solos, this is your gig.
• The Irish/March Concert: No secrets (that we are aware of).  There are two tunes for alumni to play.
• Alumni only performance.  This has not been scheduled yet.  It is loosely expected to be in April but we are waiting on some other details before it gets confirmed.
• Other stuff . . . in the works.
